This is our first go around with Softball.  We have had numerous requests to try one of these leagues and this is it.  We will have a Sunday league and then a Mon/Thurs league.  In line with all of our other DSL sports our main purpose is to have fun and meet people.  Winning is fun but it is not the primary reason for this league.  The co-ed rules have not been 100% determined yet, however we are looking to have 3 females in the field and you can bat up to 12 people.  Also, we are leaning toward using wooden bats for the gents and the ladies can use a single wall bat.  Pete Capriotti suggested this as he had played in both league types and it is far more safer to use wooden bats and we will of course provide the wooden bats for you.  Nothing is set in stone as we always encourage feedback but this is our starting point. - Bobby D
