Delaware Sports League is about having fun and meeting new people. We are here to plan Events and Outings to get you out of the house and meeting new people. DSL can expand your Professional Network as well as your social network. We are the planners, all you need to do is show up...we'll take care of the rest!

Some will be big outings and others will juist be members stepping up to the plate to create chances for all of us to get together. I LOVE when this happens especially when it is for a good cause. I have said it since Day 1, this league belongs to all of us! Here is some great events happening in October and November for everyone to enjoy!

Oct. 25th Bud Light Presents: 29th Annual Halloween Loop in Wilmington

I mean if you aren't there you're just being silly...

Oct.30th 1st Annual Hollywood Halloween at Cafe Gelatto

For those of you who have not had the pleasure of being entertained by the music of Hollywood, you have no clue how much you are actually missing. Of all of the entertainers that we enjoyed in college, Hollywood was one of the acts that all of my friends and I could agree on and hardly ever missed a show. You are crazy if you miss this event!
Tickets ($39) include all food, Vampire Vodka drinks, Vampire Wines and Bud Light all night long.  

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Mom’s House, Inc.

Mom’s House® provides safe, secure, and totally free childcare to
low-income single parents wishing to continue their education.

 

2008 Halloween Scream Beach Bar Crawl

This event was started by my friends at the Starboard a number of years ago and now my friends at Bud Light and a number of the bars have grown it into a full blown Halloween Bar Crawl. It is going to be a blast!

Downtown Fall Fest Nov. 1.

This is an event that is going on in the city that is going to be a big deal. DSL is not all about our own events. The point of all of this is to find things to do around Delaware that are simply worth doing for the fun of it! Here is an event that I can assure you is going to be a TON OF FUN!

DSL Member Charity Event: Delaware Museum and Hall of Fame 5k4FAME Nov. 2nd

This comes from DSL Member  Shaina Rafal who volunteers at the Delaware Museum and Hall of Fame. For those of you that do not know it is actually a part of Frawley Stadium and it's entrance is on the 3rd base side. This is a great organization and I know a lot of people who have had the honor of being inducted. My good friend Corby had his mom and grandmom inducted and I remember that being a very special day. If you can make it out please do so and support this great organization as well as your fellow DSL Member!

Looking for a great way to burn off all that halloween candy? Why not do it while supporting a great local cause!

If you or anyone you know likes to do 5Ks, walk or run, please support The Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame on Sunday November 2nd.  They work hard to preserve the history of Delaware's Sports History and Heros. It is located in Frawley Stadium here in Wilmington. 

School groups have fun learning history through Sports, and it is a great place for groups with special needs as there is a section dedicated to the Special Olympics, and several audio and hands on exhibits are offered along with the visual displays. 

I've had the experience of leading an enthusiastic group of visually impaired gentlemen through the exhibits, and the joy they experienced listening to old baseball games and songs is something I hope others can continue to enjoy.  That's where you all come in.  We need your support!
